Been gone; miss me? No? Well......
I just did a tour of a whole lot of Oregon. Just me and Monty in the Enterprise (to boldly go) van. Did 1817 miles in 7 days and there are still great parts of Oregon to see. Will have to wait til next time. John Day Fossil Monument; Crater Lake; the Oregon coast (all of which is public property) and points in-between. Lighthouses, sea stacks, sand dunes, oh my. Great weather and had a fantastic time. Will post pictures once I get my slides back in a week or so. You people with digital cameras have the advantage there.

Glad Echo is out of hospital and doing OK. Take care, girl.

I love the area you just traveled. You do realize if you'd spoken up - you probably could have met a couple ladies from the forum who live in that area? Harumpf lol

I was not aware that any of our gals lived there :( or I would have given a heads up. Next time (and there will be a next time) I will give a holler and see who answers.

Wow, you sound like me, many miles in a short time, I must learn to slow down! Any suggestions for 10 and 12 year old boys to see on this route?

Not sure what 10/12 year old boys enjoy but there is the Wildlife Safari drive thru park in Winston south of Roseburg. Pan for gold on Cow Creek 21 miles south of Roseburg. Oregon's largest wildlife petting zoo is 7 miles south of Bandon on the coast. There is sandboarding or ATV rentals at the Dunes National Rec area near Florence. Jetboating or river rafting at Grants Pass. The aquarium at Newport is pretty awesome. Lincoln City Skateboard Park is beginner friendly but many pros train there also. No fee from what I understand. The coast itself has great beaches.
