Computer geek or geekess question

I'm getting ready to get my computer rebuilt, I picked up a flash drive and
got all my photos stored on it and all my text documents, recipes and such.
My games I have on disc so I'm not worried about those, the one thing I
don't know how to save is my desktop picture, you know, my wallpaper.
I have no idea where to find it, when I had my windows98, there was
a folder called wallpaper but this one is windows 2000 and all that stuff
is hidden somewhere and I can't find it. I went into windows explorer
and tried to find it but guess I'm not looking in the right place. Is anybody
really computer smart and perhaps know what the folder might be called
for me to try and find it. Right now I'm tired and have brain fry so I'll try
again in the morning when my brain is fresh. I'm just hoping some new
talent can help me sort it out in the morning. Nighty night.

If the original file has a name you might try searching for it that way? I'm not a geekess, just an idea....

called, then I can use my search feature to find it for me, hopefully that will
work, I'll let ya know. Thank you

AH! I found it!!
Knew a fresh mind would help, I just went into my control panel, display, found the pic
but to find the folder it was stashed in....I just clicked on browse and tracked back
on the folders to see where it was stashed. WaLa! It was in a folder marked wallpaper
of course, within a folder marked web, within a folder marked winnit. Who'd a thought.
So, I've email that to myself so I can put it back when I get my computer back. I really
do change my desktop picture on occassion but this one particular one I've had for years
I always go back to.
I've also copied all my favorite links and emailed those to myself.
If anybody has any other reminders of what to get before I send this computer in
for rebuild, sing out, cause the guy told me its gonna get wiped clean. I'm so looking
forward to using XP instead of 2000. This is the first time in my life I've had anything
done like this.

Ava, it sounds to me like you have it all under control! Most people wait till it crashes and then can't get their stuff off of it! Good for you lady!

Ava, how did you copy your links? I always get this wrong somehow, but would love to have a backup of my bookmarks. Thanks!

since I'm on aol, it has a feature that allows you to zip it and send in email, I do that
alot from time to time because sometimes my favorites folder won't even open, aol
is good that way, (yea right) I do save lots of my favorite links in the email.
