Posted: Thu Jun 11, 2009 9:47 pmMy '60 something' friend, Jeannette, use to compete and then teach those dances. Also my BIL's girls , in Illinois, use to compete. I have never seen the dances in person, but they seem very technical. Thanks for sharing!

Posted: Fri Jun 12, 2009 4:35 amGreat shots of someone having a great time! I love Irish/Scottish dancing, and, in fact, I used to teach the Irish Jig when I was a student teacher way back when! The high school girls used to learn a long version in gym classes......great exercise, and fun while you're at it! Wish I could remember it enough to attempt it now!
