It’s happening!

I had mentioned that I was tired of living alone. After much, much, thought and investigation with nursing homes we decided on a couple things. They do want to build me an ADU on their property because it would raise the property taxes more than they want to pay. We visited a couple nursing homes. Do you have any idea what they cost? Besides the monthly rent, there is a move fee of $350,000 more . Those are beautiful places with many activities which I probably would never use.
Next idea was buying a travel trailer and pArking it in their front yard. That we decided was a good idea. So, I have been spending hours looking at floor plans etc. I even investigated buying a shell and having the inside made to my specifications. I knew what I wanted in. A trailer, so that part was easy.
One RV company made suggestion after suggestion but I kept repeating my desires. They stuck to it and finally found exactly what I wanted! That is where I have been a day. Drove up and put some $ on to hold it for me. My grandson will tow it to San Diego and hook up electric and sewer. There is still some things to be decided such as how we want to handle cable. How I will help with the monthly bills has already been decided. As Laurie and I get along quite well, I am not expecting any problems. And I have my own quiet space to go to whenever. It is a 30 foot with a sofa and dinette. I’ll keep you informed as progress is made in my new living quarters! Lyn

So happy for you to have been able to move through all that decision making and land on a solution that will work well for you. It definitely seems as if you have made it full circle … and back into an RV living space. Hope there are sidewalks and places to ride your scooter so the two of you can keep getting outside and seeing the sunshine.
