I was in high school and we still had ice for the ice box delivered. It was my job to remember to empty the drip tray. The car seats for kids that were hooked to the top of the front seat. In some cars the back of the seat was split into two sections = when stopping kid, seat and back of seat would tip forward. We all learned to throw our right arm out when stopping to catch the kid. Chewing the soft tar from the street. Spend allowance on 10 cent comic books. Sure wish I had some of them now $$$. Never having a phone until we moved to California after I was out of high school. Horrible rompers we had to wear for gym class. Playing all kinds of chase and catch games in the street. Coal bins in the basement, curtain stretchers. Phone books, I miss them - a lot easier than Internet searches.
