You'd love it for the geology here, too. The mountains and terrain were formed from volcanic activity 30 or 40 million years ago.

This is southwestern Texas, Fort Davis, Texas to be exact.

Nice pics Beth. I know you're not staying there, but I love that state park. Saw my first aoudad there. And almost adopted a second dog at the Humane Society there. Just sayin'

I have stayed at that state park. Peaches and I had javalinas hanging out at our campsite there. Laughing about the almost adopting another dog. Same here several times. Aoudads are seen often from one of our trails, too.

The only problems he occasionally has is getting some in a paw. He then tries to pull it out himself or lifts his paw, looks at me and waits for me to come pull whatever out. He's had less problems here than many fields.
