The weather here has been cloudy, damp and chilly as we head into mid October. But Mother Nature has been busy with her paintbrush all across the Upper Peninsula, Northern lower and is working her way south. Probably one of the most spectacular fall color seasons we have seen in a long time. This year the Reds have been out and the colors very vibrant. Everybody says it has been just beautiful. We are at peak here and are actually going to try to past peak and leaf’s are beginning to come down. Cruising up and down the roads it’s just a panorama or color everywhere you look. Although the weather has been cloudy, it does make for more vibrant color because the sun is not bleaching the color out of the leaves. Yesterday I took a drive outside of Gaylord a ways and shot some photos at one of our local golf/ski resorts and around the area. Pictures are not the best due to the darker type day it was, and the fact I was using my phone and not my camera. But wanted to share some with you.
Sue - your pictures make me yearn for my New England back yard, but not enough to go back to NE winters! Doesn't matter if you took them with your phone - they are absolutely stunning. I believe some of them are calendar worthy for sure.
WOW so many brilliant colors. I would have loved to see them. We have lots of evergreens here so mostly scattered colors amongst them. To see so many all in one place is awesome.
Beautiful, especially to this California girl. Sandi

Sue, every picture is glorious. Thanks for sharing them. I was mesmerized going from one to the next.
