“Pride of Baltimore” (my version)

Postby monik7 » Mon May 16, 2022 11:25 am

Sometime back Shirl posted a photograph of the sailing ship “Pride of Baltimore.” I was fascinated by the photo to the extent I decided to “try” painting the beautiful tall sailing ship. It was a challenge because it required several watercolor techniques I’d never attempted. But, practice is what I need so below is the result. I still have so much to learn and get frustrated easily as I did with this painting. I need to realize not everything is going to be perfect especially since I’m just trying to master watercolor painting.

You did a great job, Sandi! The Chesapeake Bay can be wicked at times, as shown in your painting.

Wow! That is great!

Sandy, you definitely have incredible talent. Have you considered doing more? entering art shows? or joining groups focused on art?

My sister is going gang-busters with her painting since she retired - so it's never too late.

You really are that good!

Wow, it’s taken quite a few paintings to “officially” impress Karen. I’m thrilled to have finally arrived at such an achievement. :). Thank you all for your kind and encouraging comments.
