Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. Quiet birthday, as expected, but son and DIL gave me some yummy double chocolate truffles, cooked supper for me (they are vegan and the plant based sausage, baked potato, corn, was excellent), and bought me the most delicious b'day cake - Boston Creme Pie cake - so decadent and yummy. Back east son sent a cute e-card and got a call from youngest.

Pain is a lot more manageable, but still get sharp surges. I suppose the problem was because I remember the doctor having a hard time installing my device and pushed and forced it quite a few times before succeeding. I'm guessing I have a lot of internal bruising from that, hence pain. Leave it to me to have something unusual. I have been sleeping in the recliner ever since the procedure and that works for me. Plan to try the bed Sat. but I've been afraid I wouldn't be able to leverage myself up off the bed without putting too much pressure on the arm and chest, but we'll see. I take blood thinners so Tylenol is the only pain killer allowed. I have been taking 4/day (500 mg) which was the maximum my primary said I could do, but today I'm going to cut it back to my normal 2/day morning and evening. Miss my arthritis NSAID, but the Tylenol seems to work fairly well. Guess that won't be able to change any time soon. Thank you Eliquis!

Feel like such a sissy! And OLD!
