thought that I would join the where is??? club.
We had spent the winter in Quartzsite AZ and had planned on leaving there April 15th but the week before we got a frantic call from on of our dd's telling us that one of our dd's had been put into the hospital with major depression and tthe words she wants you. We got our self all packed up when you are settled and been in a place for several months that is a not fast venture. Jenny will tell you how much we had to pack up. She had called us on Tues. Morning and by Weds. am we were on our way...Wouldn't you know it I was getting ready to call Jenny and say hey we need to come to Yuma lets do lunch...didn't happen but there is always next fall!!!
Just outside of Parker AZ either in Cal or Nev not sure wish and right now I couldn't tell you the highway number but we were headed to Vegas just after some RR tracks we came to a bump sign as we were going slow anyway from the RR tracks we didn't expeck the jolt that we got...as dh put it it was like the bump to the end of the world...the sign should have said crawl over...if you find this place in your travels be forwarned...anyway dh apoligized for the jolt and we went on our way not knowing the damage done...
I rarley go into the 5th wheel tell we get to where we will spend the night when we travel...was so surprised when we stopped the printer was in two pieces...several things where broken some repareable others not...some know that I used to try making dolls and some travel with us...I was really concerned about them as they travel in the back of the 5th wheel where the jolt would have really been felt...I put them in a plastic bin which has been lined with bubble wrap one doll is too tall for the bins and so she lays on top of the two bins 2 dolls in each bin...this time for some reason I put her head to the back and her feet to the front...good move easier to replace a leg than a head...one bin the one on the bottom was totally broken but the doll faired well....my husband got a ash tray stand from his dad which we kept even though we don't smoke it makes a great candle holder..it was split but glue took care of it...a stand had apiece of wood chip out again glue and the lazy boy was broken but again dh took care of it so we don't have to see if the warrenty was any good...it would have cost us 69 dollars to have them come out to see if any of the damage was covered. Too night discovered that my one doll that was on the bed had her eyes loosened and they have fallen back in her head...repairable..most of this we didn't discover until we got to SLC when we could put the slides out and look. on a planter broke in halve plant needed repotted any way...
When we were going into the truck stop in Cedar City to have supper I didn't see that the pavement had a raise in it and biffed it big time...got up and limped in to the building knee hurt like crazy but was walking!! thought wow this is so going to bruise!! not hurts when I put pressure on it like kneeling to stand up (getting up from floor after changing 2 year olds) no bruises almost disappointed if you are going to biff it need the outward sign so you can milk it right?? a week later I found bruising on my toes of all things and the sides of my foot and the foot is swollen can't believe it is broken no pain .
DD is out of hospital and on short time disability needs to see therpist twice a week and lots of meds...well no more than she was taking but more of it so hopefully this won't happen again...the last time was 5 years ago...we understand that it is a disease but really hard to fully understand that some times you just can't pull your self up with your big girl panties....so all is well we are in SLC at the moment after having spent a week in ID (we left the 5er stored at KOA) now back dh will go back up to dd's and I will stay here as mother of the bride have to take care of youngest daughter and her needs...this would be a good time for cloning
all is well now just thought I'd share for the moment
