Hope this is posted correctly. Sent it to Edith. She said we need to go to Tuscany . All they do is drink, no wonder they are so friendly. Only in our imagination.

Short of traveling to Tuscany, here is a good read with lots of food AND wine….
‘Murder in Chianti’.

Sue and Beth, wouldn’t that be a memorable trip if a group from here went to Tuscany. Afraid I have run out of years. Thought about this family last night and hope they are doing well during these difficult times. I really really want to go to Tuscany and learn Italian bad words. :D

Diana, thanks will check the library

Napa is closer. What we would save in airfare could be spent on wine.

LOL, Shirl. 8-)

Here you go:

Italian swear words

Accidenti! - Damn it, holy smoke!
Porca vacca! - Holy cow!
Porca miseria! - For God's sake, for Goodness' sake
Porco cane! - For God's sake!
Cavolo! - Holy smoke!
Col cavolo! - No way!
Madonna! - Good God!
Madonna santa! - Good God!

Judy, Napa is closer but as long as I am pretending, I’m going to Italy. I want to smell the air, see the medieval town, mingle with people who smell like garlic and laugh a lot. Help the Baker deliver bread and share his wine. :) It would be a grand time.

Anne, your idea of bad words and mine are totally different.
