Hey, BJ!

I've been thinking about you for the last several days, wondering how you are doing. You have always been a regular poster on here, I miss you when you don't come by.

Hope you are doing well! Please let us hear from you. :D

Thanks!

Anne

Anyone know how to get ahold of her if we don't hear from her in a bit? Her last visit was July 31st.

Several of us have her phone number. Life gets complicated with what it throws at us sometimes and many of us proceed privately when we need to. I'm sure she appreciates that folks are concerned and will come back when she is ready and able to be here.

Just send her some positive energy......

Here I am, sorry I haven't posted. I think I've made it though the Covid exposure, tomorrow will be 14 days and so far I am feeling no symptoms. My neighbors are out of quarantine but neither can taste of smell yet. Our part of the state has the second highest number of cases and too many people refuse to wear their masks or be vaccinated so it is only going to get worse. Children under twelve are reported dying every day.

My little Mitzi has been sick off and on, refusing to eat for a few months. Her blood work in March was fine, we took in in Thursday and they did not do blood work. Friday she was worse and we took her in and they found she was in kidney failure. She is still at the vet, they flushed her kidneys but as of around noon yesterday her kidneys still were not working. They were supposed to call with a report last night but didn't If they don't call this morning I am going to call their emergency number. A different vet was going to be there for the evening check and had been told to call. We have no idea what caused this unless they gave her too much prednisone or antibiotics while trying to get her to eat. I had told the vet when we were there Thursday afternoon she had not peed since Wednesday morning and I hadn't seen her drink. He said she wasn't dehydrated.
I was also dealing with trying to get a ride to an appointment with a neurosurgeon in St Louis but every one in our circle of friends were either in quarantine or were afraid to be in a car with me for so long even though I had tested negative. It did work out though as the neurologist I saw a couple of years ago and have been doing video appointment with can order the MRI done locally and the results will be sent to him and the neurosurgeon. The neurosurgeon couldn't order the MRI since I haven't seen him in person. He usually wants to have imagining done at his office but made the exception for me to have it here due to the virus being so bad.
It takes so long to figure out the medical system!! If I hadn't asked if the Neurologist could order the MRI I would still be waiting and trying to get to STL.

Thanks for coming on, BJ. It's so hard when any of our fire babies are hurting. I'm hoping for the best.

So sorry to hear about Mitzi and your Quarantine. How old is Mitzi now? Seems like just yesterday I picked her up and Zorro had a house guest puppy for the night, but I'm guessing it's 10 years or so.

How your tests come back good too.

I'm not BJ, but I happen to know that Mitzi is only 7.

Yes, I saved this picture of her and Zorro it is so cute of them. Mitzi is seven. My test was negative and I have no symptoms. Tomorrow will be 14 days so I should be ok.

The vet called this morning and she used her piddle pad last night and this morning which is a good sign. She will have more bloodwork in the morning.

Thank you all for thinking of us.
