Nice photo album! I'd love to go back amd explore SB. I've been through and once for a meeting, but never got to explore the area. Did you see many ships off shore?

No ships but 4 oil rigs. The ships might go on the other side of the Channel Islands. SB faces south so they may bypass that area. The fact that SB faces south and has the islands out in front, keeps the surf there fairly calm so it is safer for swimming with less rip tides.

Beautiful pictures!! I so miss living near the ocean and frequently wish I had stayed. Then I think of the traffic and the cost of living!!
Glad you had a good birthday weekend.

Lovely photos, Barbie!

Thank you for taking us along on your trip.

Looks like your motel was in a great location - how did you know?

I stayed at that motel 10 years ago because it was the least expensive place by the beach. There is a Motel 6 right behind this place that is actually more expensive. This one was pretty outdated but clean when I was there before but they have updated it nicely since then. I will stay there again in the future.
