Air fryer Chicken Milenese

Carol’s Bill making Chicken Milanese makes me want to try it but using the air fryer. I would like to freeze the prepared chicken uncooked. Can then air fry when needed. My question does anyone use this method?

That should work. I season/bread fish to cook in the air fryer later. I don't see any reason not to do it with meats. And might try myself. I often take raw meat and prep it in portions for making certain things in my pressure cooker. Same idea.

Sheila, Chicken Milenese is a chicken breast cut in two by slicing horizontally. Pound each cutlets thin, about 1/4”. Dip in flour, then beaten egg and then add Parmesan cheese, garlic powder to bread crumbs or panko and fry. Several recipes on line. Sounds scrumptious. Thanks Beth, will try it.

I haven't tried cooking breaded chicken in my air fryer but I cook chicken thighs in my small Dash air cooker. I have cooked breaded squash in my air fryer. Thin chicken breast wouldn't take much time at all. The Chicken Milenese sounds good. I will have to try it.

Carol, I have a Chefman brand as recommended by Karen. Mine is Chefman 3.7 digital air fryer and I love it. Fish and fries in 12 minutes. Think you and Bill will need a large one. Trying the chicken Milenese today, I’m so excited. :D

I bought a combination toaster oven/air fryer. I tried it out last night with air frying squash. I much prefer squash cooked in my small Dash air fryer. Since it was hot I decided to try baking cookies. I put some frozen cookie dough in it. I wasn't watching it and came very close to burning the cookies. I bought the oven to bring camping so it's going to take some trial and mostly error.

Martha, now I am really in trouble. I mix original chocolate chip cookies, roll in balls and freeze. When I have a cookie attack just take two balls out of freezer and bake in toaster oven. Didn’t think about air fryer.....ready in 5 minutes..oh! my! :D

Shirl, I put the cookies in the toaster oven on bake not the air fryer. Maybe they would cook in the air fryer. We probably don't need 5 minute cookies. lol

My two are both Chefmans... I have the smallest and probably the largest lol. I believe Karen's is between sizes. The middle or largest would easily handle meals for two or more.

I'm having trouble uploading pics of each. Will edit when they go through.

I never thought to freeze cookie dough - yikes! That might start up a new, dangerous trend. :o

I've been looking at air fryers too. Picked up 2 Ninja air fryers- the 4 quart & the Max XL (5.5 quarts) to try & compare. The bigger one has more options & is taller but the circumference of the cook area is the same on both. They are both just so big in my small kitchen.. And I don't have anywhere to store it so it'd have to sit out all the time. Decisions, decisions....

I got the Gourmia 5.5 quart for my DIL last Christmas & they love it but it is even bigger than these are.

I'm looking at the Chefman on amazon now.

Update... I buy frozen chicken breast individually wrap from Bjs warehouse. Didn’t realize they are much smaller than Bill’s. Making cutlets is learning experience, first one was a cutlet and a shred. Didn’t need the mallet because the cutlets were about 1/4” thick. Used panko instead of bread crumbs. Put one cutlet and a shred in fryer, got a glass of wine, fried for 10 minutes, turn half way. Didn’t look as evenly brown as Bills but was delicious. Crunchy on the outside moist on the inside. It’s a keeper. Amazon hasn’t had the small digital Chefman (out of stock). Wanted one for daughter and Target has it in stock. We both have limited counter space.

Martha, somedays I need a 5 minute cookie, or two or three. :D
