Blondie met her new veterinarians. They took an x-ray and the best guess is for 4 pups :) Now for the last days of waiting.....

BABIES!!!!

I only had one dog that had puppies. She was a collie named Sammie (my son got Lassie backwards! LOL!), and I was up all night with her as she delivered NINE puppies. I collapsed on my bed, exhausted, and she woke me up with ANOTHER puppy in her mouth. Then, another two came after that. GEEZ ... but I found homes for all of them.

I am lucky, we have at least 6 interested parties for the 4 pups...and I haven't decided if I want to keep one to show. But hey, I'm not counting chickens before the hatch.:) I have always marveled at the breeders who have the larger sporting dogs: Labs, Goldens, etc. Yeah, as you noticed those litters have 10-14 sometimes........That's also a lot of puppy poos to clean up after :) when they are being weaned.

Oh yes...puppy breath...love it! One of the best pleasures in life is to have a puppy snuggle up to your neck and go to sleep. I have never breed one of my female Bostons because I know I would never be able to sell the puppies! If they would have had 3 puppies I would have had four dogs!
