Thinking of you Sparkle...the Black Hills are under blizzard warnings...all schools are closed and even Mt Rushmore and they are expecting 40 inches of snow....wasn't it just about this time last year you had the wonderful experience of a SD spring blizzard? I sitting here praying that the front loses steam before it hits the eastern part of the state.

This is a reason I wasn't going to leave for AK till the end of May - will not even leave NM until the end of April/early May. Hope all up there stay warm and safe.

WHAT!!!?? Maybe those Dakotans have figured out that that area is Jan's newly revised major travel destination en route to the Maritimes when I leave in a couple of weeks....
Do you see the black "Pigpen" (as in peanuts cartoons) cloud over my head?? It wet-snowed again here today and we were all out in shirtsleeves yesterday!!
Please keep us all posted...I hoped to be there (Mt. Rushmore) by later April to early May at the latest...Is Yosemite also to be deluged?
jan
PS The good news is that I pulled out all the stuff from my lower compartments yesterday and organized it all so I know what is there. I have maybe only 15 to 20% of the storage space filled under there. Short of carrying around dead bodies, what on earth do ppl put under there??

Oh, Jan Jan Jan! I can fit up to four dead bodies per bay, after I have loaded my regular gear. Some of them slide into the pass-through space. Others I've had to dismember. But no worries ... Hefty trash bags keep it "organized" just fine!

I lived in ND for 6 winters and the last blizzard was in April each year. My driveway had 4 to 6 feet of snow drift all winter.

AKA Sparkle. I'm using Beth's computer as mine is in Intensive Care. Janice that was so funny! Beth said she could read it 4 times and laugh every time. Thank heavens I'm not going to SD. Echo, please note they are getting 8 inches at the Lodge.
P.S. Jan why would you even consider dead bodies. Has there been a chaeck of your relatives lately?

LOL...never know about my associations...
Actually, I have no living relatives at all but for my two sons but I have an aunty's ashes onboard for if I ever get to AZ...Maybe that resulted in my macabre thinking....
I keep wondering what will be asked about that container at US Customs....

This storm is missing CA and Yosemite is beautiful with wildflowers, especially in the river canyons. (Be safe in the mid-west!).

My mail comes out of Rapid City, SD and I just got yet another e-mail saying there will be no mail as the staff can't get into the office. Another blizzard is on its way.
