Social Security Warning

I received a robocall this morning, wherein a disembodied voice said that "your social security card has been cancelled" and to "start the recovery process, or file a concern" (something like that), "press "1" now".

Instead, I pressed "end call" and hung up.

Don't get scammed.

I received a voicemail a couple weeks ago similar to this saying my social security had been “suspended due to suspicious activity” and that I could learn more by clicking “1.” Of course, I did not click on it. I then reported the number that called to the Federal government through a form online since it’s an ongoing scam they are trying to investigate,

Karen, yes, that is what I was thinking too! I would be really worried if my SS card expired! I would have to check my pulse!

I received a similar call a month or so ago. Reported it to SS. I was told it was a scam but they appreciated me
reporting to them. The scammers try to use tele numbers similar to SS. Wonder if SS ever is able to stop these
creeps.
