It’s that time of year again when many of us start thinking of or start making plans for Spring, summer and fall trips, outing, GTG’s s etc. So what’s everybody got in mind?
I will be starting out Memorial Day weekend at Indian Lake State Park in The U.P., then back there again for a week over 4th of July holiday and again at the end of July for a music concert. From there it will be to Baraga State Park at the base of Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula on Keweenaw Bay for week of exploring the beauty and historical places of the peninsula and wesstward toward the Porcupine Mts. State Park Area. followed by a 4 day stay at Fayette Historic State Park for their Heritage Day, a celebration of the days when Fayette was avthriving Iron smelting town and take in an old fashioned ball game, the way it was played back in the late 1800’s, early 1900’s. Then off to Indian Lake for another week from there to attend the U.P. State Fair and explore more of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore plus who knows what else. Then the end of summer over Labor Day weekend back at Indian Lake. After that is up in the air.
Anybody who may be thinking of coming into or passing through Michigan is welcome to join in. I’ll be glad to give you the dates.

Sue - You are so organized. My plans are to do some kayaking and hiking in WI, maybe MN or MI in the spring.
In August I am thinking about going up towards Alberta and British Columbia then down thru Washington and then the coast of Oregon in September. Then head home.
No dates yet, no firm plans, still in the thinking, planning stages.

Wow Sue, you have a lot of camping going on this summer! That is a full schedule! Sounds like a lot of fun tho!
I, still being camperless, won't be doing a lot of traveling, especially since I most likely won't be going to my nephew's wedding now. I would like to get out to Anza-Borego in March/April to see the wildflower super-bloom for a couple days if I can. Otherwise, just hanging out around San Diego area for me this summer.

Mid-May I’ll be heading up through Oregon and Washington to Montana to attend the high school graduation of a very good friend’s son. Afterwards I plan the rest of the trip to be sort of a circle heading into Wyoming and maybe South Dakota and then head back toward California. I do need to spend more time in Utah’s national parks so may do that. I need to get some planning started as I’ve done nothing for this trip so far.

I am leaving town on April 1st, for my big spring trip. I will end up in Ely,MN for a week of bird watching. Hoping to hear a loon call. I have seen them, not herd them! On June 1st, heading back to San Diego so the daughter can leave on her big trip!
Hoping to visit Mitch, BJ, Mickey & Mary, a friend in WI, and Sue in MI. Back and forth across the UP so that I end up in Ely.
Dates are not positive yet, but tentatively middle April up through ILLinois to WI. April 25th, east across UP.
No Rock Creek for me this year as I have a destination wedding in Tetonia (yes, Tetonia) ID on Sept 7th!!!!! I will check in with Sheila during that stay. I am not sure which route I will drive going home. Maybe, go over to the coast and down Oregon. Haven't done that drive in awhile, and, it is so very beautiful!!!

We are leaving MD around the middle of June and will take several days to drive through the Midwest. From there we will stop in SD, WY, and Seattle. Then will continue through Oregon, CA, and through the southern states heading back east to FL. I'll try to stay in touch to see if any of you might be anywhere close to where we might be.

Lyn, if you are planning to be in Ely in April/May, bring warm clothes and be prepared for possible snow. They can get snow there right up to June 1st sometimes. I hope you get to hear loons altho if the lakes are still frozen, you might not get that opportunity.

Yes, I understand Barbie. This particular class sold out very soon after it was posted. There will be a lot of disappointed people if it is snowed out. Lyn
