Thanks all. Here is the rest of the story about my exciting day. Got a call promptly this morning from CoachNet, and they found a truck repair place that would tow me there and put in a new battery. I ran the generator for a couple hours because it was getting warm inside. However, just before the truck arrived at about 10:30 am, I was checking the control panel to see where my coach batteries were in terms of a charge. But I noticed that the vehicle battery also showed 5 red lights, where yesterday it showed no lights. So, I asked the tow truck guy what I should do, and he suggested I try to start it and if it started to follow him back to the shop.

Yea! It started, but I knew I still needed a new battery, so followed him. I assume the battery recovered a little overnight and the generator charged it just enough. To make a long story short, they put in a new battery and found a new tire to replace the one that had been shredded so I have a good spare. The wiring harness had dropped down, so they fixed two broken wires and tied it back into place. The gas fill pipe had also been hit and moved sideways a bit, plus the gas cap had broken into two, so they bent the fill pipe back where it belongs and put on a new gas cap. Last thing was to put the mud flap, which also wraps around the back part of the wheel well back into place so it was no longer rubbing on the tire. Total cost was $930, but the towing at least was paid for by CoachNet. I saw the $500 invoice!! Yikes.

The guy could not see anything wrong with the fresh water tank, but I was positive it had been cracked because I did not have any water coming out yesterday and all night and the indicator showed it was empty. I figured that was an RV dealer thing anyway and figured maybe I could get a new one at the Oregon Fleetwood factory service place and manage with jugs of water and campground showers until then. So at 5:00 pm, I hit the road and drove 168 miles to a casino just inside the Nevada border, near Reno, which is where I am now. By this time, I really, REALLY, needed a shower and to do dishes. Overnight, I used two gallon jugs filled at the garden center at Lowes to flush and take a sponge bath, and bought a case of drinking water at Lowes also.

So, I arrived at this full hookup campground at dusk still not knowing if the grey and black tanks had also been damaged. Hooked up and took a shower and washed all the dishes. THEN, I looked at the fresh water tank indicator, and it shows half-full. What the heck? It had showed empty yesterday and I was getting almost nothing out of the tap other than some air and a few spits of water. A miracle?? :o

Put clothes on, went outside and dumped tanks just to be sure they did not leak and get me in trouble, and turned off the water hose. Now I am getting water out of the supposedly cracked fresh water tank. Anyway, I am going to bed and hope it is still holding water tomorrow. All I can think is that the sensors were not working right.
