On The Road Again!

Well, I am awful at keeping up on forums, so bear with me. Anyway, just an update.

After the accident in New Mexico and traveling to TX and meeting some great women rv members, my RV finally got fixed. It was a long process, as they kept finding more damage. I am pleased with the repairs and spent a lot of time in the New Braunsfel area. I now have women rv friends and am going to return in the fall and get TX residency. While my rv was being repaired (35 days), I had time to take day trips around TX and I fell in love with it.

I am now back on the road heading for NC to farm sit for some friends going on vacation. I am going to get rid of more stuff in the storage unit and again change a few things in my rv. Not sure exactly how yet. My summer trip is going to New England area, then NY, then ??

I am at a COE park near Little Rock AR, and may stay another night to take a breather. I think that I have been off the road a little too long and have to get my rv legs back! And routine!

Doesn't it feel great to get back on the road?

And it's nice that you're back posting!

SO glad to know that you made it through all those "detours" that were thrown in your way. Keep on, keeping on, as they say. I too found a lot to appreciate in areas of Texas but not sure I want to go back to visit in summer. :) Have fun this summer where ever you land...or pass through.

Be safe on the road. We will be waiting for your return next fall/winter, Linda. Maybe by that time Hannah will be well trained and love listening to you. Please tell me I didn’t miss remember her name. Hope you have fun sitting and watching the farm. We are getting winter hay today. We can get 5 bales a load and will only get 10 bales. But, as you know, it is hard work doing that. I do have a supervisory role as I guide the tractor hay mover :o ! Keep us posted on your fun.

Thanks all. I made in safely to NC and am taking care of 11 goats, 3 donkeys, 2 Great Pyrennees dogs, 6 house dogs, 13 cats, 6 rabbits, a parrot, 2 cockatiels, 2 finches, 2 parakeets, a ferret, and 3 fish, not including the koi. I may have forgotten something!! I am pretty busy which is a good thing.

The weather here is beautiful, low 80s. I also have a view of Mt. Mitchell which is nice.

My trip from TX was uneventful which is also a good thing. Now I have to unload all of the stuff that I carried across the country. It was a learning experience for sure.

Birdie, I took Hannah to a trainer and she stayed two weeks as that was all of the time that I had left there. She has a pinch collar and an electronic collar. She will now walk loose leash, lay down and stay for up to 30 minutes, and is a much better dog. We practice every day and when I return I can get more
training if needed. We are both much happier!! I am so glad that I did that for us!

I am not sure when I am leaving NC, July 4th is coming, so may stay until after the holiday. Jello!!

I hope that all is well with all of you!!!

I hope it is a big house!! I have three dogs and sometimes feel I need more room. It sounds like your days will be very busy just keeping everyone fed and watered! Do you have to milk the goats? I love raw goat milk but it is hard to come by here. We still take Emma to "school" once a week and she also has a pinch collar but now we put in on but put the leash on the regular collar. Just knowing the other one is there makes a big difference in her attention level! She is the only dog the trainer works with for a full day. She takes Emma and her two dogs (also Standard Poodles) everywhere dogs are allowed. On Saturdays we meet her at the busy Farmers Market and she has the three of them sit and stay in the middle of the crowd and they don't move.
Enjoy your summer, I hope all goes well.

WOW!!! What a schedule to keep track of! I would need lists galore!. Glad you are safely returned to home.

One of my fondest memories of Casey is when we were working on sit, stay. She seemed to love it. I sure did. Altho she never became real proficient, it was a fun exercise for both of us.
