Beautiful pics Liz. This reminds me of exactly what my daughter and I did when she was in about 3rd or 4th grade. We followed a caterpillar on some plants near our front door and it eventually formed a chrysalis hanging right above the door. I suggested to my daughter at the beginning that we should take pictures during the whole process like you did, and if we were lucky we’d see it through all the way to a butterfly. The same miracle happened for us and we got a magnificent Swallowtail. She wrote a beautiful extra-credit report with all the pictures included. Thanks for the memories. You’ve been making beautiful use of your non-traveling time.

very interesting...so patient to take all those photos I agree with the comment that you ought to
make a children's book out of it
didn't know how to tell female from male now I know is it the same with all butterflies assuming so but one should never assume
and have missed you
