Have to post this! I took the grands to have their picture taken with Santa last weekend. Bronc was so excited....Haddie was pretty stoic! There wasn't a smile to be had! Oh well...at least she's not screaming.

Then again, she looks as excited as Santa! They are both looking good though...the kids I mean.

I agree with Beth. Haddie has such a classic look on her face - it's great! They are both darling!

I know it’s not a good picture of Santa….but I have to stick up for Lenny! He has been Avon’s (and the surrounding area) Santa for over 42 years! He is wonderful! Knows all the kids names and was Santa for their parents. He and his wife make evening home visits to the area kids all through the month of December that are set up in advance. He goes to nursing homes and hospital, church programs, Christmas parades, etc etc. That day he was sitting at the local craft fair and had not had a good morning! The twins who were ahead of us were about 18 months old and screamed bloody murder! He told me he had never had so many cranky children on his lap. He does all this along with his construction business and being an activity bus driver for the school. He is probably our school’s most loyal fan to the point of having an Avon Pirate tattoo on one arm and one of Santa Claus on the other! He’s just an all-around good guy.

I’m attaching a picture taken 30 years ago of Lenny with our boys. The Mitchell Daily Republic followed him around on his house calls one evening and did an article about him. The picture was picked up by the Associated Press in South Dakota and was in all the daily newspapers in the state on Christmas Eve in 1987.

When I was 15 months old my parents drove the more than an hour from Lancaster CA to Los Angeles to the big May Company for me to see Santa. I wanted nothing to do with him! Needless to say, in ensuing years I warmed to the jolly old elf! Our children grew up with the guy in our town known as the Treehouse Santa, for he fact that he owned Treehouse books here for years . I need to dig out all the photos to collage and print for a frame.

Lenny sounds like a wonderful man!! I think someone told Haddie Santa is a hoax. Bronc is growing so fast, love his hat.

Neat Santa story. I like the part that he knows all the kids, etc! And two screaming twins can explain a lot.

Then Lenny is a town treasure for sure. Makes the picture extra special.

what a career Lenny has had thanks for telling us...I am sure that even Santa is allowed those days!!!
