I finally managed to get the internet on my own computer so I uploaded a photo album for my website of photos of Mazatlan. Know you have seen some of them but probably not all. Still working on Tepic and Puerta Vallarta (went back there yesterday) Last night the owner of the RV park put on a big party for all the campers. His way of saying thank you for coming. Food and entertainment. It was great.
We will be leaving here tomorrow morning heading inland towards Guadalajara - so don't know when I'll get wifi again. Have been trying to up date my blog to date and my web page too.
pictures are at http://www.movingon1.com/Mazatlan
today we took a ride to a couple more little towns near here to check out the RV parks sure glad we ended up here. Tomorrow we drive back up hill on Highway 200 - sure hope there isn't too much traffic. At least we can cut off before we have to drive through Xalisco and Tepic.

Carol we stayed at the San Jose Del Tajo Trailer Park Resort near Guadalajara, tricky getting into and out of the park but it is fair and the people there are nice. Alot of Americans stay here. Make sure you go to the Tonala flea market on Thursday and Sunday. They have great stuff there and I want to go back so I can buy a bunch of stuff. Most of the stuff from Los Algodones comes from Tonala and Tlaquepaque ( locky-pocky).
I loved the shops in Tlaquepaque..it's the rich version of Tonala!
Keep your Alfa at the campground and just take the car around.

Our friends Leo & Liz just moved back to the states from Guadalajara, they said the violence was getting too bad and they speak fluent Spanish and owed a home in Guadalajara. BE CAREFUL!

Hi Jenny - that parks where we plan on going. we went to Tonola 30 years ago when we camped in Guadalajara but then you had to drive through the farm fields to get there. we surprised a couple of years ago when we were there at how every thing has grown.

I just got a Goverment warning about the escalating violence in Mexico. I'll have to get Beth to tell me how to get it out of e-mail and into the Forum. It wouldn't stop me, but it tells you things that any sensible person would do, like stay on the Toll roads, don't go into seamy districts at night. apparently the gang and drug wars are what is causing the problems.
