So I am thinking of adding a 2nd battery to my tt so I don't have to worry about running out of juice, especially for this upcoming trip in a week. When I was talking to them, he mentioned adding a 12 volt adapter. He said that several people like them as you can plug in your TV when you are Boondocking. I am not concerned with the TV ,as i seldom use it. however you can also plug in a 12 volt hair dryer. If any of you had seen me without doing something with my hair for couple days, OMG! Has anyone used this type of adapter?

Rosemary, the more juice you use, without keeping the battery or batteries charged, it won't matter how many batteries you have. That said I do recommend a second and a 12 volt receptacle is nice for many things. Just make sure you're not draining the batteries too much.

And I've not yet seen a 12 volt hair dryer with good reviews.

Hair dryers are a huge draw- think heat=Lots of power use.

Be cautious about 12 volt appliances. I had a 12 volt tire inflator, it ruined the 12 volt receptical in the truck. Lyn
