Some views of our trip to Maui.
View from our condo
Looking toward West Maui
Grandkids on the boat to go snorkeling off Lanai. Left to right: Aidan, Brynne, Carys
One of two snorkeling sites
When we started to head back to Lahaina, we were surrounded by what the captain described as a pod of about 250 spinner dolphins. They were fast and hard to get a pic. They jump out of the water and spin in the air - thus their name. They're small compared to what we usually think of as a dolphin. They measure about 3-5 ft. and up to 150 lbs.
New granddaughter Evelyn age: 7 1/2
On the road to Hana. Keanae Peninsula in the distance.
Keanae Peninsula
Church on the peninsula
Silvery strings of water sparkle down a hillside
Wainanapanapa Black Sand Beach outside of Hana
Lava tube next to the beach
Interesting sign
View of the ocean from the Pools at Ohe'o (aka Seven Sacred Pools)
Field of sunflowers (my son's favorite flower)
An angel among the flowers (Carys)
Brynne
The banyan tree in Lahaina was planted on April 24, 1873. It spreads over 2/3 of an acre.
Goodbye Maui. I will surely miss you.
