Lyn came to Texas at a perfect time so we took her to see the bluebonnets.

just fields of them....very pretty so enjoyed your drive
in the Rocky Mts believe these are Lupines
buy have never seen this many lovely

Very pretty. I'd heard of bluebonnets, but not until I saw your pics did I realize they're a type of lupine which we have in California this time of year.

Beautiful pictures maybe next year I will get to Texas to be able to see them would love to see the poppies also...

Other places may have lupines but these are "Lupinus texensis" native only to Texas and also the Texas state flower. Sheila....these pictures were taken in the Texas hill country. I had to take another trip today to soak up the bluebonnets while they are still here.
