We left Mazatlan yesterday a.m. and after US61 in tolls, 7 hours and 240 miles we ended up north of PV about 35 miles.
Mexico 15D the toll road was pretty good, but expensive! Then at Tepic we turned off 15D on to Highway 200! Very interesting drive. First through sugar cane country
he is selling sugar cane cut into 1 inch hunks - standing in the middle of the street
A truck full of sugar cane
A sugar cane field
the laptop screen showing a protion of highway 200
We are at a beautiful campground in Lo de Marcos - a bitch to get into but nice - more on that later
Drove into Puerta Vallarta this a.m.
Seen on the beach
One of many statues on beach
She was admiring the scenery too
Only have internet on Bill's computer so makes it kind of weird to do this -
