The Proud New Grandma (My sister, Barb) sent me photos of her new Grand-daughter, Irelynn Mae...born yesterday, weighing in at 3 pounds 6 ozs and 16.5 inches long....Her mommy's BP is back to normal and both are doing fine....

And guess what?? Just found out that another new great-niece or nephew is due in July...got to make more afghans and booties...

Oh, she is sooooooooooo sweet! Lucky auntie to have so many new babies!

I first thought, oh she's a good size for being so light. then I saw her with Mom and Dad. she's TINY, but beautiful. Is it just me or do you sisters like the same type of man? I thought that was Ernie for a moment. I hope I haven't insulted him....

They are really excited about being GRANDMA & GRANDPA....their first...but my BIL's 3rd grandchild....he has 2 grandsons from his older daughter....

Now, about us sisters having "look alike" hubbies.... Yes, Mac and Ernie look alike...and many have asked if they are brothers....we just laugh.... but the funniest thing was at my parents 40th wedding anniversary party....while we 4 girls were getting stuff ready and our "men" were doing the "honey do's", my Dad stops and says to us....."My girls have the same taste in men....They are all balding, beer drinkers, and re-cycled." it's all true...all 4 are balding, beer drinkers, and have been married and divorced before meeting us Benson girls... We have always said that the guys just needed to find good stock.. and women who know how to keep them in line.... If you are wondering if they are like our DAD.....maybe in their personalities and their love of beer, but my Dad died at the age of 82 with a head full of beautiful white hair and holding the hand of the only woman he ever loved and married, Mom...they were married 53 years....

So glad baby and mom are doing well. What a little cutie. I, too, thought it was Ernie for a minute.

Oh...so tiny. And I love the name! The pictures certainly bring back a rush of memories, our youngest was 3# 4 ounces and 15 inches long.
