Lake Hartwell State Park

First venture out since I moved out of my house-I got here Saturday afternoon and got hooked up. Everything seems good- looked for leaks, refrigerator working, everything seemed OK. Sunday morning i went outside and there was water dripping under the back of the rv. It was the water line into the toilet(at least it wasn't black water leaking). Two cabinet doors fell off  as apparently the screws were loose. I did get one back on but am too short to reach the other one and hold it up at the same time. 8PM the carbon monoxide detector starts beeping constantly. I am plugged in. Didn't make sense. Neighbor over came over and didn't understand it either. So turned off the battery power. Turned it back on at 10 PM ad it was fine until 7 PM tge next am-started again. So okay, I figured that since it has been sitting a lot since I brought it home, something might need to be fixed. Took it rv place and the toilet valve was cracked, probably froze he said, he put the other cabinet back on, and pulled the fuse on the CO2 for now. Special order item he said. Which for now is OK with me. So the initial shake down is over for now. $106 later, I am comfy, everything working and all is good. I do know one thing, I am going to cull out some of this stuff. I think that I brought way more than I need. Kind of one of those what was I thinking moments. Maggie, my dog is settling in as best she can and going with the flow as usual.

Well, you survived the maiden voyage without too much trouble. I am sure it will take awhile to figure out what you need and don't need in your rig as you take more trips.

If your carbon monoxide detector is original to your motorhome then it needs to be replaced. Supposedly they are suppose to be replaced every 5 years. Mine started that a few years ago and I pulled the fuse. I have one that is battery operated now. I keep thinking that I need to order another one that is wired in so I will have it on hand the next time I have to take my motorhome to the shop.

I have had to tighten several hinges on the cabinets. I looked on the Coach House website and I think you can order the piston things that hold the doors open. None of mine work. Another thing I haven't gotten around to.

Are you full timing now? I went through my upper cabinets recently and took everything out and unloaded some of the junk I was carrying around. I put wire shelves in all the upper cabinets so it is easier to find things. The wire shelves divide the space so everything isn't piled in there.

I have replaced two of my carbon monoxide alarms and am in the process of replacing my propane alarm. These things are a moving money pit! But the S&B was too! The difference is this rolls in the direction that I point it.

All good points! Yes I am full timing. I will get the detector replaced at some point. He did pull the fuse, probably just old. Cabinets-I replaced one overhead door lock. You know how they say "A boat is a hole in the water that one pours money into"-I am hoping that I don't have a land yacht. Just kidding. i don't want to be anywhere else. I am figuring things out and still moving things around. As I live in it, I will figure out what needs to be where. I am enjoying my freedom from my house! I am glad to be somewhere else and the road is wide open. :)
