I just signed up for Verizon's new unlimited data plan that is available today. Since I was paying for a whopping 40g a month, this plan will save me over $100 a month. Woohoo!

Isn't it great, Liz?! Unlimited is same price as the 24GB I had. I just mentioned around the campfire the other night that given what others are offering, this had to happen! Woohoo!!

Any catches to changing?
There are asterisks without any details on the page describing my changing, but no details. Chat is busy and I have no phone access, so might end up driving out somewhere tomorrow to call them.
ANd it looks like they might charge extra for extra lines. Right now I have three lines--the third is a backup hotspot.

Judy, it does say there is a discount for auto pay via debit card or checking. I've been using a credit card so I just switched to checking. Since I was paying $110 for 24 GB, I won't see a big difference in my bill. Still unlimited minutes and data.

I am being charged $65 instead of $80 because I am on autopay. I have MiFi and iPhone on a shared plan. My computer and iPads use the Mifi for connection.

Been doing some more research and found a posting on Escapees and an article by some full-timers who run an internet business out of their bus:

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/verizo ... e-catches/Have decided to pass on this because of the slowing to 3G after 10 gigabytes on any one device. That would mean work would take longer for me. Also, the new line fees are higher than what I am currently paying for my two data lines.
