Trading Mule for Maui Beach

I'm so excited. I got a text this morning from my daughter asking if I wanted to join her, her 3 kids and 1 foster kid in Maui for a week in April. Considering the fractured relationship I've had with my daughter the last several years, I almost couldn't believe the offer. My SIL will not be going since he will stay home with their 3 other foster children which they don't think should miss school because they don't have Spring break until the next week. I'm sure my being there will help a lot with the kids, but I'm not complaining and hope it will work toward a better relationship moving forward. It's been so long since they invited me to accompany them anywhere. Before that I got to go with them a lot.
So today I cancelled the reservation for the same day for my one-day/one night mule trip to Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Since I did the two-night ride and stay in November with Diana, Liz and Birdie, cancelling this one is no big deal. Not too sure how the cowboy hat I bought for the ride would look on the beach though.
So here are a few pics of where we'll stay and where I've stayed all but one time. Never get tired of paradise.
View from our condo only we'll be a couple floors higher. On our first trip to Maui in 1976, those palm trees near the pool were so short their fronds touched the deck around the pool. Now 40 years later look how tall they are!

Closer view of the pool area. Can't wait!
