Just found out they are calling in hospice for my dad who is in the hospital with pneumonia...

My roommate is on her way to the hospital with a heart attack...

It is gonna be a long night...

wow Barbie...so sorry about your dad Hospice can be great and isn't a automatic death...he may get better with
the care....hope your roommate is ok and that she got to the hospital in a timely manner

Unfortunately it sounds like my dad is very near the end. I will know more in the morning but will probably ride back to MN with my brother who is visiting down here now.

My roommates husband will have to take care of Lola while I am gone. Too much craziness around here tonight! Got a million things going thru my mind. Just need to deal with one thing at a time...will know more in the morning.

So sorry to hear this, Barbie. Hope you get a chance to catch your breath a bit.

Will be thinking of you as you travel through the next days and weeks. Hopefully having your brother/s and family around you will provide some support. Even when you know negative health issues were headed this way for a long time it is difficult to actually hit the "time". Keep breathing so that you can some out on the other side of all these experiences with some of yourself still intact and with your heart open and ready for the other adventures of the rest of your life......

Sad news to wake up to Barbie. I too am glad your brother is there to lean on get you back to MN. Praying for peace for your Dad and quick recovery for your roommate.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers...didn't sleep much last night. Did get a call in the middle of the night from my roommate's husband saying that the tests they ran at the hospital came back showing no heart attack so that was a false alarm. Probably just a bad anxiety attack. She has those sometimes. So that is goood news.

Waiting for my dads nurse to call me back about his condition. I am thinking about flying back this morning rather than riding with my brother and SIL. I want to get there right away and not thrilled with the idea of sitting in a car for the next three days filled with anxiety. Will make a decision when I hear from the hospital.

Depending on how things go, I may need to rethink my future plans as well...will worry about that later tho.
