Locked out

What a day. Laughing to use my roadside service at my cg! But it wasn't funny this morning. Peaches and I went for a walk in the drizzle/rain. I took my keys to the "house" door but didn't lock it. Just going around our loop. Returned and the door wouldn't open. Figured I'm losing my mind. So used the keys, still wouldn't open.

Last year Winnebago sent me a recall notice on my door lock. That it could jam. I took the rv in and the dealer told me my door lock was a different model, nothing needed. A month ago Winnebago sent me a notice that I never responded to last year's notice. I got hold of them and said I took it in and the dealer told me mine wasn't involved. They said that's possible. But next time in have it rechecked.

I guess it's an emergency now. Roadside Service came and opened my drivers door and that's my entrance until I get back to the dealer.

I'm very lucky it happened during the day. Didn't have my phone, any papers, my purse, but my car was unlocked and could get the phone number to roadside service in it. The office was open and I was able to call from there. The guys were here on time, and it took maybe 1 1/2 minutes to get me in my home, sign the paperwork and leave.

I haven't used my roadside service in at least three years, but I'll never be without it.

So glad you are safe and can get into the RV. We have trouble time to time with the side door to my Leisure Travel but so far Mel has been able to fix it and like you we have other doors. Glad help got there quickly.
Good reminder why Roadside Sevice plan is a necessity.

Not fun in the rain! I'm always amazed at how fast they can open a door with those devices. Can you tell I've locked myself out on occasion?

Peaches and I are at the dealer for service. I haven't heard yet whether they'll be able to fix the door without ordering parts. I'll be paying for the sealing around my roof. He thinks the leak (I was right about that spot in the ceiling) is from around a front running light. I hate paying their prices here, but I can't afford to have water getting in.

Peaches and I have walked around most of the rigs for sale. There's a class b I'd love, but it's new and I'm not spending money.

Service man just came in... The lock is broken. But not the recall part, so Winnebago won't pay. He's seeing if my warranty will. We don't want to talk about what they want to seal the necessary area. Since there's no way to pinpoint exactly where the water came in, they are covering a pretty large area. Now that I know we'll be looking at using my extended warranty. I'm going to have him check a latch on my microwave. If I have to pay the deductible and can get more than one thing fixed...
