Very good pictures thank you Carol, I particularly liked the girls in the whirling dresses and the dancing horse. His saddle looked like it had silver all over it. Of course the dancing men were pretty easy to look at too!

I always have to go through the slide-show twice. The first time I'm in such a hurry to see the next one, then again to look at the details. It's a whole other world down there. Wonderful pictures. The players and dancers look as if they had just stepped off a wall carving.

Once again Carol you have taken all of us with you .... great videos and photos. I especially like the one of the children. The stag dance is similar to a north american dance done at pow wows which illustrates the hunt. Such diversity yet still such similarities.

great post! thank you!

As always, the pictures and narrative was wonderful.
If I might comment, I hope the guy on the dancing horse wasn't getting the horse to dance by digging his spurs into the horse's side.

Thanks again Carole for the pictures and the explanation...so interesting...
I've totally enjoyed the trip
I've always wanted to see the dancing horses that come from that country out of Europe. I think personally the spurs are for show. makes the costume better.

You must mean the Lippizan Stallions! They had a show here near me a long time ago, and I took the kids and went to see them....absolutely beautiful horses!

Yes, the Lipizzan stallions are gorgeous! When I saw them in Alaska they were auditioning for riders. My daughter's friend auditioned and got hired on and toured for several years with them.
