Nice ride. Question.....which camera do you take on the rides? I am trying to decide how brave I am with my new camera......

I took the new one so I could zoom. I am more careful about putting the lens cap on between photos, though. I haven't decided about which to take on the mule trip, but probably will take the SX60 because I have more than 1 battery for it.

What a great view of the canyon. I was fascinated by the shape, color, and texture of the rock formations.
Thanks for showing us.

For those who don't know, Canyon de Chelly is one of my absolute favorite places. Somehow I feel an affinity there that I've only felt in a few places in my lifetime. I so love all of your pictures and story telling of your time there, Liz. Thanks so much.

Those pictures are beautiful Liz. Thanks for sharing. Many years ago, I was fortunate to be able to camp on the floor of the canyon. We would climb to the top each morning, a truck would meet us an drive us to an other area of the canyon. We would hike down to the flooor and hike back to camp, or, we would climb to the top and the truck would take us to the area where our camp was, then we would climb down. An entire week of this. What an unforgettable experience! Lyn

According to my guide, it is still possible to do that. Awesome!
