This area goes waaay back on that Journey Through Time Scenic Byway. Over 40 million years back in time!

what a beautiful hike and the colors and formations are something to see. Now, the snake was another thing :roll: you know my thoughts on them and he sure was not a little thing for sure. Glad Thistle wasn't with you that hike.
You might be retired but you are still educating a lot of us, I more then likely will only see these places and all there is to learn of this vast country from your blogs. So thank you for taking the time it takes to keep up with all these wonderful hikes and areas you have discovered for all of us.

Enjoyed this so much, you even caught the bird singing that early morning, :D
