What a pretty lake! So serene to paddle. Do know rattlesnakes are coming out so be cautious on grassy trails. You two do have such fun. Happy travels and thanks for sharing your fun.

Glad you found one of my favorite campgrounds in California!! I was here for three days in December, January, and then again in February. So I was able to watch the water level come up. Did you know that over last fall and winter, the two volunteer camp hosts (don't know if they are still there) walked the entire beach of the almost empty lake and cleaned out literally tons of trash? I was the only paying customer when I was staying there, so got to chatting with them several times.

Love how the campground has winding roads and sites with terrific views. Like this place also because it is COE and cheap. Very quiet and pleasant place, as well, although it will probably get busier now that the lake level is up. When I was there, there was dry land completely around the water intake tower and lake was at something like 8%.
