Nikki came to visit me for a couple of days. We had over an inch of rain one night and colder than you know what during the day. At least I showed her the quiet in the country. Olive, one of her dogs. was absolutely fascinated by our guinea hens as they are loud and fluttery. Wish she could stay longer but hopefully she'll come back in the late Spring when the weather is nicer.

How fun! Glad you had a nice visit. One down and hopefully a lot more visitors to come.

It was a wonderful visit. Three days I think (you know what they say about guests and fish). Karen showed me a lot more than quiet. It was cold and wet, but we still ventured out for a good lunch and a few vintage/thrift shops. We drove around looking at property for sale. I learned much more than I can just looking at listing on line. There was one place that I got so many ideas from. I got to meet Karen's daughter Melissa who is delightful and one of the hardest working people I've ever met. And I met Melissa's HUGE dogs. Moose thinks he's a lapdog and has eyes like Karen's Sophie. What a great great time! Of course I'll be back in the spring. They might regret the open invitation.
