I know it's only the end of January, but lets do some discussion about spring and summer here. Take a little break from the cold weather doldrums and dream. What are you planning to do if anything, have any thoughts about trips, GTG's, suggestions. Some of you may be getting ready to sell your S&B;s and moving to smaller quarters or on the road full time etc. We may find some of us thinking of going to same place too, who knows.

I for one want to go to Gettysburg, maybe in June. Nothing firmed up yet. Got my maps and waiting for travel info to come in the mail. I know I can get it online, but I like sitting back in my recliner and reading. Want to make reservations for McLain State Park in Michigan's Upper Peninsula for first week of August. July still open yet. Giant City GTG still a thought too. Maybe could do Gettysburg in fall. Anyway, got hitch itch here.

I would love to go to Gettysburg, Michigan, around the lakes. But nothing in the works for me yet, I will have to wait to see when I get called back for work, then it will be 3 months before I will be done with work. But I will follow your posts and maybe I will be able to meet you somewhere.

GypsyRose, let me know if you get to firm up some of your plans and I wol join you. Can take a tour of Michigan's UP if nothing else.

All my plans are still in the dreaming stage! I still want to do my Hatteras trip, that'll be in the spring or fall so I avoid the crowds. Kinda waiting to see what Sue does and if we can do a gtg in this part of the world! Some plans will be dependant on what I decide with pup and his leg. Right now I'm leaning toward a non surgical approach to it. Keeping him quieter and giving it time to heal is what I'm working on right now but time will tell and travel plans will kinda depend on how it goes and what I finally decide what to do. So right now, like I said, all dreaming! I'm like you, Sue, I like to sit back and read the info in print form and not have to pull up a website!

I keep trying to just go on the fly, but then great things come up!

April 4 - Washington State daughter is meeting me at Disneyland for a few days. Sometime after that I'll go to Washington.

May 11 - 24 - Kansas for grandson's high school graduation and other end of school year activities. Praying for no tornado!

May 31 - June 7 - Maggie Valley, N.C. for Slingshot rally in the Smokies

June 10 - 17 - Cape May, NJ for cousin's daughter's wedding

July 20 - 27 - Cooperstown, NY for Ken Griffey, Jr. induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame

Possibly spend time with Carolb and another friend Carol in New York between the wedding and Cooperstown. After Cooperstown, no plans but I think I'll start winter in Florida and end in Texas.

I'd like to be near Boston in mid-April for the Patriot Days reenactments, but I haven't thought further forward than that.

I am thinking Spring in Oklahoma to visit friends, family and a doctor. Then Summer in Colorado for birds and fun. Fall in Oklahoma to visit friends and more doctors. Then head to west Texas/New Mexico/Arizona then decide if I winter in AZ or back to Texas. It's all planned in jello and written with sand on the beach.

Anita, you are going to have such a wonderfully fun year!

I hope to be back in Ohio this late winter, spring and maybe even summer working projects so that I can build up my emergency fund and my fun fund. There will be dog shows here and there and hopefully a few just camping/kayaking get aways for those short periods that sometime occur between projects. Doesn't sound exciting but if it means I am putting more money into the bank than I am taking out, it will be good and lead on to other adventures.

Right now I am down-sizing (it is so hard to let go of stuff; I love my stuff!) preparing to fulltime. Taking a load to AZ about first of March and plan to be moved out of current residence by May. Summer is jello. Winter in AZ.

I'm going back to Keystone, SD mid-April until early October. Would love to see anyone that travels through. I haven't decided what next winter will bring yet. Part of me says I should work again and another part tells me to take the winter off and boondock the desert. However, after purchasing the new rig in 2014 and my small retirement account losing money daily right now, there's a good chance work will win out. Maybe back here on the ranch. In which case I'd ask for two weeks off in January to go to Q. Decisions, decisions.

I will be in the West all summer. Putzing around Arizona and meandering northward as the temperatures warm up. I plan to spend some time in Oregon paddling the lakes, but the rest is jello.

my typical summer is living in Idaho near the Grand Teton/Yellowstone National Parks..so anyone coming that way give me a yell and we will gtg I enjoy
taking people around some time I want to go back to Iowa and visit with my husbands family haven't been that way since before his death.
It's way pass time...
and make a decision about a truck to tow or a motor home or whatever I decide I want or can do

Still just able to do short camping trips . Have plans to meet with the MN State Parks camping group in central MN for a weekend in June. Want to do another weekend trip with same group up to Ely, MN (way up north) in August. Also, Linda (bikerchik) will be workamping in Wisconsin this summer, so will be going there for a few days to spend with her there. Would like to do the North Shore again but will have to see if I can fit that in and/or afford it. Probably also a mini campout in May at the county park a few miles north of me where I have stayed before. Very nice park on a big lake and in the woods.

Camp Cihak will be open.

Only firm plan is 1st week of August in Montreal for niece's wedding.
Open to gtgs with sistahs.
