My quiet day

No more wild parties for me. I'll leave that to the younger crowd. First thing I did this morning was set my new pedometer. By days end I had done my 10,000 steps. Burned a whole 300 calories. Took a phot of the sunrise.

The Oyster dredgers were out early.

I had thought they were Shrimp boats, but duh...look what I'm walking on.

Some of the shells I collected today

Bogie at his front door watching the ships go by

Like this one. It was called Ocean Wave
Image

Magnolia Beach is on an inlet, so there is no booming surf, until a big ship passes. Ocean Wave caused this. It sounds great because of all the shells.

This boy was having fun. His dad made this for him.

Sunset behind me

Then the water gets all misty

Finally, a good supper at days end

Oh what a wonderful day! And you know I love that place. I'm glad you and Bogie are enjoying. How about Shona?

Peaches sniffed every friggin' inch of your site yesterday - kept looking at me like how did they poof into thin air - and today there was a new rig there - she stood at the end of the road and just stared at it for a minute, then walked on, like, OK, let's go find where they went.

I love your sunrise picture - I think even I would get up willingly some mornings to see that (and then run back to bed :) ) Love all the pics. Thanks for taking them. That shrimp looks great. Tony says he's sorry he didn't get you shrimp before you left - but will for sure when you come back.

Such a beautiful spot, Sparkle!! Thank you so much for the pics! When I see spots like this, I really begin to rethink about retiring. I sure do hope spots like this are still around when I am.

Glad you are having a peaceful time, but I don't for one minute believe your days of wild partying are over!!

Wonderful pictures....may have to think about traveling in the winter next year. Let's see...summer + winter, that's pretty near full timing, isn't it?

What a great day, Sparkle. My dogs would be sniffing their noses off with all those shells.

Very, very nice!! What are those prawns (?shrimp) stir-fried in? BTW, when I visit you, I want at least 9 for my supper....ROF....but I will do the steps with you, so long as there is no "up" involved.

Shrimp were easy to make. I fried them in a little melted butter, garlic and a sprinkle of Cayenne.
