I started a separate thread for this because I wanted everyone to see just how stupid I was about the AC not working... for two days I have been racking my brain putting in different scenarios for YouTube videos on the AC fan not working.. did that again just now and was watching us serviceman telling about troubleshooting one and lo and behold... he said something that woke up my brain.... he said make sure fan is set on high thermostat... so I looked at that thermostat and the fan had accidentally turned oatf because I know I did not do it on purpose was shut off totally... flip the switch to high turn on the AC and it is working just fine.... I'm so glad that I did not take this to a technician yet.... and so glad that I kept after trying to find an answer myself.... and I'm so glad for you tube... doing a happy dance in the cool Motorhome :) :) :) :)

Great news! Now, just to be sure - you have cleaned the filter recently, right? We don't want the ac to freeze up because the filter gets clogged. Then it might not be as easy of a fix. (BTW, I cleaned mine as soon as you posted your original thread ... )

Lol yes Beth....I had just cleaned it... I cleaned up about every 3 to 4 weeks or more if I'm in the sandy area or something like that.... I'm glad my post reminded people to clean their filters..... another thing that I learned from watching all these videos was that you should check and service your air conditioner at least once a year so that should be put on the list of things to do....

When I lived in a condo, the compressors for my neighbor's unit and my unit were inside his garage--I had an upper and he had the lower unit. One hot summer day, I could not get my AC to work. Talked to my neighbor, and he mentioned that his had quit working also, so we decided to share the cost of an AC guy to come over and take a look at both units.

Turned out that my neighbor had come home the night before and tossed his hockey equipment on a shelf. The AC guy pointed out that the wall switches to both units were next to one another and behind the hockey equipment. Took her two seconds to switch both on again! Duh! A $50 lesson for each of us.

Sometimes it is the "oh, it couldn't be that" issue that is exactly that.

I'm glad you got it figured out for free. lol When I bought my current motorhome I was talking to someone in the group for Coach House motorhomes. I was wanting to put a heat strip in my air conditioner. I was told I already had a heat strip and they told me how to turn it on. I also didn't know that my water heater also worked on electricity.
