I'm getting really homesick for Washington. How the devil did I end up in HOT, HUMID Texas???? I MUST remember how much Washington has grey days and no sun.

So beautiful, love the twisted trees! I had one of the best coffees ever in Port Townsend in '92, yes so good I still remember it.
We camped in Anacortes at I think, Washington Park, the ferns were almost as tall as the little trailer we were pulling. Lots of fluffy rabbits at that time. Love the rain forest but was chased thru it by what we though was a pretend cop because he had a blue light...did not want to stop and when forced, it was a park ranger who wanted to tell us our tail lights weren't working. We were both 'packing' and were doing all we could to distract him in case he was planning to do a search. He finally believed us that we wouldn't stop because we explained that back home a man with a blue light was stopping cars and raping the women. For some reason we both broke into hysterical laughter at the same moment about a minute after we drove away and had to pull over at the first opportunity to re-group.

You are in some beautiful country, Tina. We moved to Port Angeles when I was 10 So you are entering my home territory. Will you be taking the ferry to Victoria for a day?
I recommend Salt Creek west of Port Angeles if you have time. Campground, beach, tidepools.

and don't forget to drive out to Ediz Hook. The Coast Guard base is at the end of it. Harbor seals often seen at the first parking on the right after you pass the mills. On out toward the end, the rocks on the left were my place of relaxation. Often saw a sea lion or two in the Straits.
Wish I was there to show you around.

Yes, the forrests of Forks were used in the Twilight movies. The high school parking lot and one forrest scene was filmed at my GD's school in Kalama.

you are seeing some beautiful sights out there, Tina. Some of it, Liz and I, traveled years ago, so many that its a vague memory, guess I need to get my pictures out
It sure looks like you and the puppers are having a fabulous trip though. Enjoy and keep posting, loving it and enjoying the trip with you.
