I bet that was rough walking in...defiantly more sand than we have in Q and it's the desert.
really enjoyed your post both of them

That was a fun post Liz. Wonder if Star Wars fans do re-enactments like Civil War people do.

Interesting sand sculptures by the winds too in Wright Brothers post.

Keep going - - - I'm having fun seeing where you're going. Nan needs to buy hats & shirts and then put on a fashion show for us. :D

Did you camp here, or were you still at Frisco?

When you leave the area, I'm sure several of us would like your campground evaluations. I avoided the one near the southern end because I was told it was very sandy and soft, so I did not want to get stuck, I ended up at a commercial campground so I could get a Fed-Ex package delivered. (I was having computer problems then.)

I would really like to go back to this area, so enjoy reading about what you did. It was very cold and windy when I was there two years ago in mid-april.

We stayed at Ocracoke, then Frisco, then Oregon Inlet just over the bridge on Bodie Island. They were all good. Only thing we didn't like was the sand spurs in the grass at the last two. Walking over the dune trail and on the beach was fine though. There is no Cg at Jockey Ridge, just recreation. No fee. Cg loops and camping pads are all paved...no soft sand to drive through.
