Interesting place Liz. Type of place I like to see. Thanks for sharing. Not sure that trailer on cinder blocks looks too stable tho.

Wonderful post Liz, thank you!! I feel like I was there with you. I noted the name of Wallace Springer you mention, the father of my friend since first grade was a Wallace Springer and I've sent her an email to see if she knows whether there is a connection. Too bad that the pony population is down to only seventeen. Wonder if they are purposely reducing the numbers or just not doing a breeding program.

I was there for three days in 2013, but you manage to find much more interesting places than I did, and your photos are 200% better than the ones I took! I am beginning to think I just do not look at stuff in the right ways and completely miss things.

You are a great photographer.

BJ, there is a new baby in the herd this year,. Many f the horses were sold off the island through the years, thus reducing the number. I guess now they want to keep the herd size manageable for the acreage they have, but they do still breed.

I do love the virtual travels with you, Liz. I agree with all the others: You have an extraordinary talented eye for detail and the ability to capture it with the camera. I am so glad you share it all with us.
