People will sue over anything. This is so unreal!! What' wrong with those folks in Oklahoma???

1ST PLACE: (May I have a fanfare played on 50 kazoos please?)

This year's runaway First Place Stella Award winner was Mrs. Merv
Grazinski, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who purchased a new 32-foot
Winnebago motor home. On her first trip home from an OU football game,
having driven onto the freeway, she set the cruise control at 70 mph and
calmly left the driver's seat to go to the back of the Winnebago to make
herself a sandwich. Not surprisingly, the motor home left the freeway,
crashed and overturned. Also not surprisingly, Mrs. Grazinski sued
Winnebago for not putting in the owner's manual that she couldn't actually
leave the driver's seat while the cruise control was set. The Oklahoma
jury awarded her, are you sitting down, $1,750,000 PLUS a new motor home.
Winnebago actually changed their manuals as a result of this suit, just in
case Mrs. Grazinski has any relatives who might also buy a motor home.

It's a great joke - and that's exactly what that is - been around since 2000 - and is not a Stella award - so now people are mixing their jokes with the legit awards for goofy stuff:

Sure hope it's not true but in this day and age where no one will take responsibility for their own lack of common sense it wouldn't surprise me. Ever since the McDonalds coffee incident. ..... It's not my fault seems to be our new national motto.

Thanks Beth, I stand corrected. It's still funny even if it's not true.

Yep, and there are certainly times when I wish I could set cruise and go potty or get a drink :) Now, if they do find a vehicle like that which doesn't require a 2nd driver - let me know
