Looks like its East Texas For Me

Postby retiredhappy » Fri Mar 20, 2015 9:32 am

Well the latest update on my possible move is that my daughter closed on selling her house on my birthday, the 13th and they should close on their new place in Leesburg, TX by the 27th. My place in Kerrville is up for sale and I've had a few lookers so far. In some ways I'm actually looking forward to the move - the traffic in Kerrville gets worse every day. Leesburg is a town of about 459 people and has a post office, and a small mom and pop store. The next nearest town is Pittsburg at about 4500 population, then Mt. Pleasant at about 13,000. Anybody nearby? Its pretty country up there, lots of trees which I LOVE. Gonna put a small 1bd/1ba mobile on their 25 acres and when I have the electric put in, I'll have a 30amp plug - hint, hint. I'm only an hour from Canton's HUGE flea market so I may be in trouble. Now it will take me three or four days just to get out of Texas if I head west so guess I'll head north or east. Please cross your fingers that my place sells quickly.

Karen, belated Happy Birthday! Your new area looks nice. Hopefully, in the not to distant future, we can camp together again. Loved traveling with you as you find neat places to camp. Lyn

Another late Happy Birthday. Move beginning to sound like a good thing. If you get far enough east, maybe I can come see you; or meet you and Lyn somewhere.

Happy pursing your new adventures. :) You will be closer for us east coasters to find. Now you can say later if that is a good thing or something to be avoided. :)
