Good morning Anita. Thanks for the photos. Someday, I really want to see the Cactus in bloom; maybe next year. The rattlesnake would have scared me to death. It was really big too. Peggy in CT where the snow is beginning to melt.

Yes, definitely telephoto lens! However, as we were driving away, LeRoy pulled up next to the snake - on my side! No thank you! However, the snake can only strike 1/2 the distance of its length (some times 3/4). Believe me, I came home and looked that up!

Peggy and anyone else, come on out next year!

Great Pictures Anita!!! Big snake!!!!! Can strike a distance of 3/4 of its length?!?!?! Glad you weren't any closer. The catcus in the upper right hand corner is a mammalariea. (sp?) One of my favorite desert cactus. lyn

Yep, it's running but not going where those photos were taken!! :)
