Advice Needed - Day/Night Shades

Postby JudyJB » Thu Feb 26, 2015 7:02 pm

I just broke one of the strings in a second window shade, and I can see other places where the strings are frayed so I can see more of this coming up. (Who the heck designed these, anyway??)

I would like to replace the accordian shades on my two large front windows. I would like the roll-up ones where you have one mesh screen you can see out of and another one that is for night privacy. Preferably I would like someone to measure and install under the valences. I know these will be relatively expensive but I just can't face doing it myself.

Any suggestions on brand and someone who can make and install?? Would prefer Michigan or Ohio because I am going to be in each of those places for a few weeks this summer. Also will be headed out west in late fall. I have heard of some places in Indiana and Texas but can't find the links.

Thanks
JudyJB

Judy, the brand I hear about on both advertising on features of new rv's and on rv forums is MCD at
http://www.mcdinnovations.com/
I have heard of people installing themselves, after ordering from the company, as well as going to the company in McKinney TX, and having others install after measure and order. It's really the only brand I hear about. They are used by many RV companies esp in their pricey brands.

Hi Judy,
Those are MCD blinds http://www.mcdinnovations.com/

They have certified locations all over the country. They are really nice! I think you will be very happy with them. I had the bottom screw for my accordian shades come out of the wall so I ripped it out and installed mini-blinds. I like the mini-blinds because I can still get airflow with them open a bit. The MCD blinds are awesome and well worth the investment IMHO.
