I put on a link to some pictures from Arizona.

I stayed at the Canyon Vistas RV - There is so much to do here - very organized. http://www.cal-am.com/resorts/resorts_d ... sorts_id=9

This RV had many many park model homes and RV sites. The snow birds are regulars here. Mesa, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon and others are very popular during the winter months. I never knew there were so many snow birds

We had a great time visiting friends that stay for a few months - We did road bike riding and hiking. I was only there for 4 days. Next time longer! :D

I try to visit that area at least once per winter. I was there for Christmas, then a week + in January. Usually stay at one of the regional parks - they are more to my liking than the fancy parks. BUT, I understand those who like all the activities, etc. It's a wonderful area and the weather has been phenomenal. I know you'll need a lot more time to see all the area has to offer - a LOT.

Thanks for sharing.

There are a lot of choices between all the RV Parks, Resorts, State Parks... I would have liked to stayed at Lost Maples State Park but they didn't have a site available for all the days without moving. Since I was there such a short time I didn't want to have to move. Also traveling with my partner that likes the availability flowing water for showers, means a full hook up is needed.

Next year I will be there the end January - I signed up for a two day grand canyon hike. I will have to prepare long before then for the hike!! 36º-56º Degrees mean lots of layers and gear. Has anyone else hiked the Canyon?

Hopefully I will get to stay a week in Gold Canyon - plus I will need the extra days to recover from the hike before driving back!
