Changes, changes

My life seems to be in a constant state of flux these days. My SIL got a job as a regional for a new company which requires a move but also gives him a lot more money. They found a house and 25 acres complete with a barn and shop and garage in Leesburg, TX (up near Mt Pleasant). their current house here in Kerrville is in escrow and if all goes well, they will be moving sometime in March. Once their purchase and sale is almost through escrow I will put my mobile up for sale. When it sells (pray for a quick sale) then I will purchase a new small mobile to put on their property. Thank heavens I have my RV cause this all will require me to live in it on their property for up to two months while I'm getting the septic, electric, water and new mobile installed. Its pretty country up there so I won't miss Kerrville at all. Certainly didn't think I'd be moving again at my age. The thought of having to find a new doctor, vet, etc is driving me crazy.

You can do it Karen. Enjoy everything this new venture entails!! And, congrats on a new chapter along with a new home. Do you have your spot picked out on their 25 acres?

I hope everything goes smoothly. I'm still trying to get utilities run to some property and they don't make it easy.

Just when you think you're done something happens and you have to start all over again! Good thing you didn't sell the RV!

Enjoy what you can & we'll all be praying that the utilities get put in quickly for you. :D

Sounds like an adventure Karen, despite the worries. It's uncharted territory so always some fears associated with it. Like taking an RV trip to new places, always the what if's. Doctors, dentists, vets etc. are a given. Eventually they retire and you need a new one anyway. I lost my dermatologist through retirement, my dogs vet also and one of my former doctors is now retired too. As they say, nothing stays the same forever and sometimes works out for the better.

Want to wish you Good Luck on your new adventure, Karen. Sue, is right about drs retiring and you have to find a new one, doesn't matter where you are. Year and half ago , I was on the Blue Ridge, traveling , having a great time, love that area. So I get this phone call that my dr. was closing his doors, the next day, and if I wanted or needed my records I needed to be there before he left. They agreed to mail them to me, I had been a patient for so many years, she trusted me with fee they charged for doing this for me. I had an appointment for yearly checkup etc. in the fall, that all went down the drain. Change happens, its so much better when we're in charge.

Everything will work out, maybe even better, we never know, and different and new, is what makes our lives interesting. At least you won't be alone and you'll do fine. Besides we're all here for you to vent or grumble too :D that always helps, right ??? It will be fun, get you out of your rut,

Good Luck,
CArol :)

I'm so happy for you Karen! Being near the kids makes all the hassle of getting settled worthwhile. And just think you will have a new place to decorate!
